Invisible without past and present? Those who called to fight against Ukraine, its statehood, and its army in the cities occupied by terrorists are now in the liberated cities, and they have remained in place. Alla Matyushok will tell you more about them.
The militants left, but those who actively helped them remained. Oleksandr Khomenko, the mayor of Rubizhne, is one of them. A month ago, on his orders, they were removing Ukrainian flags, seizing administrative buildings, building barricades and bombing our army. And here is a video of the rally where Khomenko calls on residents to boycott the presidential election and come to the referendum.
- I think it is illegal to make statements that we want to be in the European Union, but you will receive pensions as Ukrainians. For the customs union!
The entire separatist movement in Rubizhne was under his leadership. Three days ago, the city was liberated, the Ukrainian flag was raised over the mayor's office, but Khomenko is still sitting in the mayor's chair.
The locals, who stood for a united country and were forced to flee Rubizhne, are outraged. They are still afraid of the traitors - the heads of the prosecutor's office and the police, who remained in their positions.
- They smile as if it's the right thing to do. They should be imprisoned, shot, I don't know, something should be done with them. These are fierce separatists who raise their children in a negative Ukraine.
Here are the pictures that locals are posting on social media. Khomenko's name appears in all separatist plans. But do the SBU and the Prosecutor General's Office have these materials? It is not known whether they know that the Ukrainian city is run by someone who called for the killing of Ukrainian soldiers.
Viktor Medvid, lawyer:
- Civil servants, officials, etc., that is, they remain in place. Governing bodies change, but corruption schemes continue to operate.
And this is not an isolated case. After Sloviansk was liberated, separatists remained in charge of the city. Until journalists raised a fuss. Tatiana Vynnyk is still the secretary of the Lysychansk City Council.
It was she who wrote to Putin and Merkel asking for "immediate assistance in the fight against the Ukrainian army."
Maksym Osovskyi, an IDP from Lysychansk:
- They were actively promoting this point of view that "we are Slavs, we must be Russians," in favor of the Russian World.
Who is the government liberating Donbas from, then, if the main separatists not only feel free but remain in their seats? Those who installed them are also responsible for this.
