Most owners of cars with European registration have taken advantage of the opportunity provided by the government, and therefore, protests from those who have not done so should not be expected.
This opinion was expressed by Viktor Medvid, director of the consulting company William Invest Expert, in a commentary to GolosUA.
"After the period of preferential customs clearance of cars with European registration expires, the protests will be ineffective and absurd in the absence of public support," the expert believes.
According to V. Medved, the law is the same for everyone, and therefore there can be no selective approach to this issue.
"In addition, since the government gave time for customs clearance, most owners of Euro cars took advantage of it," he said.
The expert also noted that no further extension of the customs clearance grace period should be expected under the current government.
"However, there may be exceptions for those who have not gone through the necessary customs clearance procedure. But after the elections. For example, in the form of an initiative of the new president," V. Medved summarized.
As a reminder, the grace period for customs clearance of cars with European registration has ended in Ukraine.
