Expert: South Bridge will become a place of traffic jams for a month due to corruption component

The southern bridge will be stuck in traffic for a month due to corruption in local authorities.

This was stated by Viktor Medvid, the head of William Invest consulting company, in a commentary to GolosUA.

"The capital's bridges need to be repaired constantly. The issue is speed and efficiency. Kyivavtodor can do it much faster and more efficiently. This is a question of the choice of contractors and the poor organization of the work process. Tenders are held in such a way that they choose not those who work more professionally, but those who are closer to the capital's authorities. This is the corruption component," said Mr. Medved.

He clarified that all types of work on the capital's bridges, and on the Southern Bridge in particular, are delayed because they are not hired by professionals.

As a reminder, traffic on the South Bridge will be partially restricted in Kyiv from April 1 to April 28.

According to the Kyivavtodor municipal corporation on Facebook, from 11:00 a.m. on April 1 to 23:00 p.m. on April 28, due to the overhaul of the deformation seam on the Southern Bridge Crossing, traffic will be partially restricted in the direction of Mykola Bazhana Avenue to Naddnipryanske Highway in the area of the work.
