All fuel prices in Ukraine depend on the work of the Antimonopoly Committee.

This was reported by Viktor Medvid, director of William Invest Expert consulting company, in a commentary to GolosUA.

"This is because we have oligarchic and political conspiracies, and this is obvious. After all, prices do not reflect the dynamics of market prices for oil, gas and everything else. Therefore, as we negotiate with the Antimonopoly Committee, the prices depend on it," the expert said.

According to him, this may affect the market competition, but in fact there is none.

"Stabilization or decline in the market is not yet realistic, because we have oligarchic and political conspiracies and it is impossible to predict them. The media coverage will help suppliers to reduce prices, as it attracts public attention and lowers prices," Mr. Medved concluded.

As reported, last week fuel costs increased only for those motorists who fill up with liquefied gas: retail prices continued to rise. However, the price tags for gasoline and diesel fuel remained stable.
