The existence of the Ministry of Economy only on paper and the continuation of corruption schemes provokes a deepening of the economic crisis in the country. This was stated by economic experts in a commentary UNN.
According to economic expert Viktor Medved, the Ministry's leadership is not engaged in the economy, has no development strategy or action plan, and is only mastering corruption schemes.
"The Ministry of Economy does not work in any of the areas. Its function is to model all other ministries and study their effectiveness. This is not happening, so I give Minister Petrashko a 'no' grade. They are only mastering the corruption flows related to obtaining permits, but no one is dealing with the economy there," Medved said.
According to him, the Ministry of Economy exists only on paper, and the expert does not see any of its actions.
"In fact, we don't have a Ministry of Economy or a minister - everything exists only on paper," Medved said.
Economic expert Borys Kushniruk also noted that Economy Minister Ihor Petrashko does not have a list of clear steps to improve the economic situation in the country, which, in his opinion, will lead to a deepening of the crisis.
"There are no economic steps... There has been no meaningful program or discussion from him (Minister Petrashko - ed.). For me, our Minister of Economy is neither cold nor hot. It does not change the situation and the problems that exist at all," Kushniruk said.
Earlier, MP Serhiy Taruta said that members of the parliamentary economic committee want to hear a report from Economic Development Minister Ihor Petrashko, based on which they will decide on the minister's performance. He also noted that MPs have many complaints about Petrashko's work.
At the same time, economic experts criticized the work of Economy Minister Ihor Petrashko, calling him weak and ineffective. In particular, according to economic expert Oleksandr Okhrimenko, the minister failed to implement the Association Agreement with the EU, with only 43% of the plan being fulfilled.
