Ukrainian shelves, and the unemployment rate will rise accordingly.
This opinion was expressed by Viktor Medved, director of the consulting company William invest expert, in a comment to a correspondent VoiceUA.
"Small and medium-sized enterprises are actually being killed. And this leads to the displacement of domestic goods by imports. The result is that the traffic of goods that we produce ourselves is constantly decreasing, and imports are growing accordingly", the expert explained.
According to him, the food market is still more or less open for domestic producers, while in all other areas domestic production is forced to wind down due to the government's tax policy, which is aimed at developing only large enterprises.
Mr. Medved clarified that large Ukrainian enterprises based on the raw materials economy are mainly exporters, while medium and small enterprises are usually focused on the domestic market - on the production of clothing, food, furniture, etc.
"Without incentives for domestic producers and support for medium-sized businesses, the trend towards a reduction in domestic production and layoffs will continue", he summarized.
